Campbell House is Castlemaine Boutique Accommodation's newest and largest property. We have freshly renovated this beautiful home and it has already booked so we're yet to take photos... Coming soon!
Immersed in local history, this local landmark mansion was built by Mr Andrew Campbell - a Scottish settler from the 1850s who started a timber and ironmongery business in the early 1860s.
The origins of this home are romantic and tragic in nature, it is said that Campbell built this mansion to lure his one true love and wife, the daughter of poet Robert Burns. Sadly, she died just two years after coming to Castlemaine from Scotland. Campbell spent the rest of his years in this grand home.
