Terrific Terrace, Castlemaine

Fantastic stay at Johnstone Terrace, Castlemaine the villa has a great configuration suited our 92 year old mother perfectly she had her own private bedroom and bathroom no stairs for her to deal with, villa has great communal spaces with lovely terrace, beds are extremely comfortable and Donna who manages terrace is very accessible and great communicator, highly recommend experience will certainly stay here again. Had family from overseas stay at Johnstone and Berkely Houses for my wedding in Castlemaine. Everyone felt very comfortable as there was plenty of space to sit and socialise and, most importantly, get ready for the ceremony and reception. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. I would recommended staying here.

Booking process very easy. Donna was able to answer my questions. Check in and departure was straightforward. Access for disabled was satisfactory from front door. Neither bathroom was built for the disabled - no grab rails, small lip on shower base. Ensuite bathroom would not cope with a wheelchair, but the other bathroom was more spacious. For me, using a wheelie walker, I managed to be able to use shower, but for someone with more specific needs, it would be unsuitable. Kitchen appliances were of exceptionable standard. Furniture comfortable and back decking very pleasant. We travelled with another couple and each having our own bathroom and bedroom was excellent. There was a 3rd bedroom which we didn't use - so could accomodate still another couple (or children) No TV in any of the bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we didn't have to use our car to go into town or to go out for a meal. (main street about 600 meters) Recommended.

Johnstone Terrace is wonderfully clean and warm accommodation and just a short walk to the main street. The beds are very comfortable and the great facilities make it feel like 'home away from home'. Donna was very easy to deal with and quickly responded to my queries during the booking process. A wonder experience overall!

Great house - beautifully presented

House was better than anticipated from photos and description. Loved the layout and the 2 bathrooms was an additional treat. It was warm and cosy and offered off-street parking. Close to town centre and easy to find. Everything possible was provided and we loved the gas log fire in the lounge. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would recommend it to others without hesitation

fantastic

This was by far the best hotel i have stayed at. The hydronic heating kept the place warm throughout the freezing weather. You could tell they had spared no expense when building this place by vacuum system that you can just brush into with your foot for kitchen spills. It has its own courtyard and a back yard that looks onto blossoming cherry trees and a nature reserve filled the calls of native frogs. I have stayed in very expensive hotels before and nothing comes even close to this
